Critical mineral auction: Government launches 2nd round of auction
The government has informed that it has initiated the second round of auction for critical minerals. This auction is for 18 blocks of critical and strategic minerals, estimated at Rs 30 trillion.
Auctions include minerals such as graphite, tungsten, vanadium, rare earth elements, nickel, potash, and cobalt. The auction features two potash blocks in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh and Bikaner. Out of 18 blocks 17 are for issuing a Composite Licence and one for a Mining Lease. The blocks are located across 8 states: Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.
