Maharashtra government aims to build 35 lakh low-income, EWS homes
The state government of Maharashtra has approved the new state Housing Policy 2025. This policy aims to construct 35 lakh homes by 2030 for the economically weaker section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories.
Further, the policy introduces measures like a government land bank, a centralized digital housing portal, and a Rs 2,000 crore fund for self-redevelopment.
