PM Modi's Norway visit: NHAI signs MoU with Norwegian institute in Oslo
During Prime Minister Modi's visit to Norway, many important agreements were signed. One such agreement is signed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute to strengthen technical expertise in tunnel engineering, slope stability analysis, and geotechnical consultancy for national highway infrastructure projects.
This MoU aims at supporting the planning, design, assessment, and monitoring of infrastructure projects, particularly in geologically sensitive and challenging terrain, as per updates from ETInfra.com. NGI will provide consultancy services in these areas and will focus on institutional capacity building and knowledge exchange. This MoU is signed for a period of 5 years.
