The first phase of Shirdi Sai electricals solar project to be completed by end of 2025
Renowned for making transformers, Shirdi Sai Electricals Ltd (SSEL) has informed that the phase 1 of its Rs 69,000 project, which is an ingot-to-module solar plan,t would be done by December, 2025. The project would have a capacity of 30 Gigawatts with approximately 90,000 metric tonnes of polysilicon and the associated Metallurgical silica.
As per the firm, 20 20-gigawatt capacity is being set up downstream from ingot to module, with a 3,600 TPD capacity of glass and a desalination facility of 200 MLD. By the end of the year, the unit will begin commercial production of 1 Gigawatt ingots for the module. Further, 5 Gigawatts of the same ingot to the module plant, along with glass, will be launched for continuous production by June-July of 2026.
