Toyota plans to set R&D centre in Bengaluru
Japanese multinational automotive maker Toyota has planned to develop a Research & Development (R&D) center, its first in India at Bengaluru. The R&D facility will begin operations with a team of about 200 people in Bengaluru and will be located near Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt.’s existing factory in Bidadi.
This move is in line with Toyota's reorganization of India as a hub for clean technologies and marks a deeper collaboration with Suzuki for electric vehicle development.
