Projects in India are the Ocean of Opportunities

With an economy as big as USD 3 Trillion (As per World Bank Report 2019) India generates enormous business opportunities for the local and international markets. Projects worth lakhs of crores are initiated each year generating business for firms spread across various sectors. As a growing and developing economy there has been a lot of movement on India’s economic front.

From construction, production to transportation these projects generate opportunities for small, big, medium, start-up, and large and established enterprises. These potential business opportunities which are called business leads or project leads are crucial for businesses if they get that on time. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen as the project-related information gathering and dissemination is not organized or seamless. As a result, the small, medium and emerging businesses suffer the most while the large ones still manage to get what they want. Biginfo eliminates this barrier by making quality project information available to all.

Biginfo: Big Opportunities

Biginfo provides catered information on projects across India. As India’s infrastructure market is estimated to be around USD 2.5 Trillion dollars and growing. Not only does it call for a large opportunity in private sector projects but the government itself has planned an investment of around Rs 102 lakh crore for the sector by 2024-25.

And that is just one sector of the economy, the production sector, mining, renting, spacing and other sectors are adding equal business worth. However, as we said there is a lack of proper information collection and dissemination in regard to these business opportunities. As a result, business is lost and that curve of turning from small to the big enterprise for many firms gets delayed.

Project in India Scattered Information

The project information collection, channelization is quite poor and scattered when we talk in the context of India. While there is news about a big project or opportunity, there is a lack of details, opportunities, and scope for the businesses to extract something relevant out of it.

Some major problems that the market is faced today are:

  • ✓  Lack of a single-source platform for authentic and reliable information on projects.
  • ✓  Targeted and actionable business leads are not available and firms have to dig through oceans of data.
  • ✓  Segmentation of projects based on pre-defined parameters is not done.
  • ✓  No-follow ups or in-depth research is conducted to deliver information on project milestones.
  • ✓  Flooding of information about tenders, contracts without much attention to other areas like procurement, logistics, fit-outs, etc.
  • ✓  Unnecessary annual packages and subscriptions are offered by firmswho claim to offer project information without much research.
  • ✓  No-option for businesses to go for the opportunities they want and not be bombarded by each and every update.

These problems have not been addressed effectively and a need for a single point source for information, collection and dissemination is what the Industry needs.
