Ceigall India Limited has bagged an order worth Rs 899 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL). The order is for the part design and construction of an elevated viaduct and six elevated stations (Excluding Architectural Finishing ) from Chainage 15017.00m to 25987.73m including a ramp for Depot entry of Bhubaneswar Metro Phase-I MRTS (Package - BBC-05), Khordha district.
The period of completion of the work is 36 months or 3 years.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has informed that 17 civil engineering firms have qualified for the construction work of the 67.57 km long Ayodhya Bypass project on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). The lane expressway consists of 2 packages – 35.40 km Northern Ayodhya Bypass (Package 1) and 32.172 km Southern Ayodhya Bypass (Package 2).
The Ayodhya Northern Bypass project has an estimated cost of Rs 1724.43 crore. The bidders for the project are:
VRC Constructions (I) Pvt. Ltd. was the firm that was disqualified for this project.
The Ayodhya Southern Bypass project has an estimated cost of Rs 1845.88 crore. The bidders for the project are:

The government has plans to set and operationalize 2 Mega shipbuilding parks by 2030. Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is launching this initiative with an aim at the share of the USD 100 billion global shipbuilding market. These parks will be located on both the East and West coasts, with basic infrastructure provided by the government and critical equipment by private players.
As per the ministry, the immediate target is to have four Mega shipbuilding parks with two each on the East and West coast. Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are showing positive signs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off the country's first 'Vande Metro' service on Monday during his two-day visit to Gujarat, on 16th September 2024 that is Monday. The train would accommodate 2,058 standing and 1,150 sitting passengers.
Vande Bharat Metro is designed on the lines of the indigenous semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat service with fully air-conditioned coaches, the KAVACH anti-collision system, and other state-of-the-art features. PM would also inaugurate Monday's 4th edition of the Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST 2024) at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar.

Leading transformer manufacturing firm Transformers & Rectifiers has bagged an order worth Rs 114 crore from RRVPNL (Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd.). Under the order, the firm would make power transformers of 50 MVA, 132/33 KV, the delivery of which is expected by the next financial year.
Last month the firm had bagged an order for transformers with a total contract value of Rs 91 crore from SPIL.

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has informed that 4 civil engineering firms have submitted a total of 7 bids to construct Packages BG-02 & BG-03 of the 156 km Bhandara – Gadchiroli Expressway project on EPC mode.
Work under BG 02 involves the construction from Km 0 000 Garada Bk Tq. Bhandara to Km 34 750 Sarandi Bk. Tq. Lakhandur Dist. Bhandara Length 34.750 KM. While package BG 03 involves construction from km. 34 750 Sarandi Bk Tq. Lakhandur Dist. Bhandara to km. 69 536 Kinhi Tq. Bramhapuri Dist. Chandrapur Length- 34.786 km.

The groundbreaking ceremony (Bhoomi Poojan) for the ambitious Dharavi Redevelopment was performed by Dharavi Redevelopment Project Pvt Ltd (DRPPL) on Thursday that is 12th September 2024. The ceremony was performed at the Dharavi redevelopment project at the RPF grounds in Matunga.
The ceremony marks the auspicious beginning of the construction of the Railway's staff quarters and offices to be handed over to the government. DRPPL is a joint venture between the state government and the Adani Group.

Power transmission and distribution firm GE T&D India has bagged an order worth 155 million Euros. The order is from Grid Solutions, Middle East FZE, Dubai, and SAS France. Order from France is worth 100 million euros and is for the supply and supervision of high voltage products It will be executed in 2029.
Dubai's order is worth 55 million Euros and involves the supply and supervision of high voltage products to be executed over 5 years.

Contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies would be manufacturing notebooks for Taiwanese company Asus under the Production-linked incentive 2.0 scheme. After HP, Lenovo, and Acer, Asus is the 4th firm to partner with Dixon to manufacture laptops locally.
The agreement is pending definitive agreements and production will occur at a new facility in Chennai with a capacity of 2 million laptops annually.
