Megha Engineering and Infra bags order worth Rs 8,000 crore
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure (MEIL) has bagged an order for a 2,000-megawatt Sharavathi pumped storage power project in Karnataka. The project entails an investment of Rs 8,000 crore. Sharavathi River is a vital source of hydroelectric power in Karnataka.
Through this project, Karnataka aims to solve the power crisis in the state. Megha Engineering and Infrastructure (MEIL) secured the order through a competitive bidding process that saw major players, including Larsen and Toubro (L&T).
