Paradip to get new airport, government to invest Rs 200 crore
Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari has informed that the government plans to establish an airport in the port town of Paradip, with an investment of Rs 200 crore. Located 125 km from the capital city Bhubaneswar, Paradip is one of the most important commercial ports of the country.
This comes after the state government of Odisha issued global tenders for the first-phase development, operation, and maintenance of the greenfield airport in Puri under a public-private partnership model.
