Government approves seaplane tourism project worth Rs 200 crores in Andhra Pradesh
The Union government has given its approval for the development of seaplane services in Andhra Pradesh. This project, worth Rs 200 crores, will be undertaken under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme.
Under the scheme, aerodromes, floating jetties, passenger facilities, and other infrastructure will be developed at 10 proposed locations across the state. Vijayawada, Srisailam, Tirupati (Rayalacheruvu), Suryalanka, Gandikota, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Araku Valley (Jolaput), Lambasingi (Tajangi Reservoir), and Polavaram have been identified as proposed locations. Each location will be allocated Rs 20 crores.
