Chandrawal water treatment: Delhi CM says project to be comissioned this year
The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, has announced that the Chandrawal water treatment plant (WTP) would be commissioned this year. This project, worth Rs 559 crore,s was approved around a decade ago.
The project will cover approximately 92 square kilometres and have a capacity of 105 million gallons per day. It will be designed to serve approximately 11% of Delhi’s population. Areas covered by the project are: Model Town, Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Matia Mahal, Ballimaran, Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar, Rajinder Nagar, and RK Puram
