Cochin Shipyard bags order worth Rs 250 crores from Adani Group
The wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Udupi Cochin Shipyard Ltd (Udupi-CSL), has bagged a new order from Adani Group. This order valued between Rs 100 and 250 crores is awarded by Adani Group's firm, Ocean Sparkle Ltd, and involves the four 70-tonne bollard pull ASD tugs.
ASD (azimuthing stern drive) tugs are primarily used for harbour operations, including ship berthing and unberthing. The order is expected to see deliveries from November 2028 and is likely to conclude by June 2029.
