Odisha government approves proposals for solar cell and module manufacturing facility
The Odisha state government has approved five firms' plans to set up solar cell and module manufacturing facilities and a pumped hydro storage project, which will require a total investment of Rs 126.51 billion.
The approved projects are:
Jupiter International would set up a 4 GW solar cell and module manufacturing project with an investment of Rs 20.05 billion utilizing TOPCon technology in Khurdha
Saatvik Solar Industries will set up a 2.5GW/annum solar cell manufacturing facility in Khurdha with an investment of Rs 13.67 billion
Jakson Engineers would set up a 2.25 GW solar cell manufacturing unit in Khurdha with an investment of Rs13.54 billion
Grew Energy will set up an ingot wafer, solar cell, and module manufacturing project in Ganjam at an investment of Rs 45.3 billion
Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) will set up a 600 MW PSP in Kalahandi at a cost of Rs 33.94 billion
