Machhakata coal block: NLC India plans to start mining before schedule
Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) NLC India has plans to start the mining of the Machhakata coal block in Odisha ahead of schedule. The mine has reserves of 1.4 billion tonnes and a capacity of 30 MTPA, it is set to be one of India's largest mines.
NLC India had earlier said it is committed to its capacity addition, which is in line with its vision of achieving more than 100 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030 from the present 50 MTPA.
