KG Field: ONGC opens new well as it plans to raise production
Government-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has informed about the opening of another well on its flagship deep-sea project in the Krishna Godavari basin in the Bay of Bengal. As per ONGC, this will help augment crude oil and natural gas production.
This expansion follows the initial production from four wells in January 2024 and the firm aims for a peak output of 45,000 barrels of oil daily and 10 million cubic meters of gas by March 2025.
