Country's first lithium mine to open in Korba
The government has plans to open the country's first lithium mines in the Katghora region of Korba district, Chhattisgarh, following the Geological Survey of India's (GSI) confirmation of substantial lithium deposits.
Mines cover 250 hectares with lithium concentrations between 10 and 2,000 PPM, aiming to support renewable energy and high-tech industries.
