4 acres of land leased by Amazon Data Services in Powai
Data centre arm of global e-commerce and tech firm Amazon, Amazon Data Services, has leased 4 acres of land from Larsen & Toubro Ltd in Mumbai’s Powai. The space is leased for over 17 years with a total rental commitment of over Rs 650 crore.
This lease agreement comes with an annual rental escalation of 3%. The lease is part of Amazon’s phased expansion of its data centre campus in Powai, where it earlier leased 5.5 acres and 4 acres of space in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
