CIL, BHEL investing Rs 25,000 crore on coal gasification project in Odisha
Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy has informed that the government-owned PSUs Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Coal India Limited (CIL) are investing around Rs 25,000 crore in a coal gasification project in Odisha.
As per the minister, the project is expected to strengthen downstream industrial activity in the state and is a major step towards expanding the use of coal beyond conventional power generation.
