Coal block auction: JEMCL bags two blocks in Pakur
Jharkhand Exploration and Mining Corporation Ltd (JEMCL) has bagged 2 coal blocks in Pakur, Jharkhand, in the auction conducted by the Union coal ministry. The two commercial coal blocks have combined reserves of 865 million tonnes and are located in the Rajmahal coalfield.
The Margo East covers 554.8 hectares and has estimated reserves of 450 MT, with a peak-rated capacity of 3.6 MTPA. While Margo West has a mining lease area of 507.9 hectares, coal reserves of 415 million tonnes, and a peak-rated capacity of 3.32 million tonnes per annum.
