Bengaluru metro: Network to grow up to 175 Km by 2026
The deputy chief minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar announced the plans to operationalise 175 km of metro lines in Bengaluru by 2026. This plan includes the addition of 30 km of new metro lines by 2025.
Further, the Karnataka state government is liaising with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to construct an underpass at Madavara metro station and has partnered with Indian Railways to develop a pedestrian passageway at Yeshwanthpur railway station.
