PNGRB plans expansion to set 9 LPG pipelines
The government's statutory body Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has plans to expand its network to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG). As per updates, the firm plans 9 new LPG pipelines spanning a cumulative length of 3,470 km.
Proposed pipelines include:
- Shikrapur-Hubli-Goa
- Mumbai-Aurangabad-Jalgaon
- Paradip - Raipur and Jalandhar-Jammu
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1,030 crore. As per PNGRB proposed network expansion would ensure an uninterrupted LPG supply, reduce energy consumption, and minimize vehicle emissions.
