2 Copper mines acquired by JSW in Jharkhand
Through a competitive bidding process, the multinational business group JSW has acquired 2 copper mines in Jharkhand from Hindustan Copper. As per the update under the partnership, JSW will oversee mine development, capital expenditure, and operations, while Hindustan Copper will provide technical expertise and earn a revenue share.
The mines are in the exploration phase and will require at least two years to become operational and would have a combined capacity of three MTPA, and will eventually supply ore to JSW's planned copper smelter.
