Cabinet approves railway projects worth Rs 24,815 crores
The Union Cabinet has given its nod to railway projects worth Rs 24,815 crores. Approved work includes two multi-tracking projects covering 15 districts across Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
As per updates in Uttar Pradesh, the Ghaziabad-Sitapur third and fourth lines, covering 403 km, have been approved. It is a part of an existing double line section forming a key part of the Delhi-Guwahati high-density network. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 14,926 crores.
In Andhra Pradesh, Rajahmundry (Nidadavolu)-Visakhapatnam (Duvvada) third and fourth lines, covering 198 km, have been approved. The estimated cost of the work is Rs 9,889 crores.
