Country's first port based e-methanol facility: Foundation for project worth Rs 2,300 crore laid in Kandla
The joint venture (JV) of Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) and Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd (APCL) has laid the foundation for India's first port-based e-methanol production facility at Kandla in Gujarat. This facility will supply 150 tonnes per day of green fuel to international vessels navigating the busy Asia-Europe trade corridor.
The project involves an investment of Rs 2,300 crore and will use renewable power, water, and biogenic CO2 to produce e-methanol.
