Government approves new airport at Kota
The Union government has given its approval to the proposal of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to build a new greenfield airport at Kota-Bundi, Rajasthan. Proposed project would take an investment of Rs 1,507 crore and would have the capacity to handle 20 lakh passengers per year.
The Government of Rajasthan has transferred 440.06 hectares of land to AAI for the development of the airport. Further government approved a six-lane ring road in Cuttack and Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, for Rs 8,307 crore.
