IKEA eyes expansion in India, to open 25 stores
Swedish furniture retailer IKEA is planning expansion in India with the aim of achieving profitability by the end of FY28. The firm plans to add 25 new small and medium format stores in the next four-five years,
As per The Economic Times, these new stores will range from 27,000 sq feet to 215,000 sq feet, depending on their location. Further, the firm is opening its new store in Pune on 12th March, 2026.
