Jindal Steel aims to double capacity of Raigarh plant
Steel sector major, Jindal Steel, is eyeing expansion with plans to double the annual manufacturing capacity of structural steel at its Raigarh facility. The firm aims to attain the capacity of 2.4 million tonnes per annum by mid-2028.
Under the expansion, the plant will get a new mill and advanced technology, significantly boosting the availability of heavy and ultra-heavy structural steel. The investment to be put in for the expansion was not disclosed till the time of writing.
