Jupiter Wagons emerges successful bidder for BESS projects in West Bengal
Railway wagon manufacturer Jupiter Wagons Ltd has emerged as the successful bidder for a tender floated by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL). The tender pertains to two standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects located at Jeerat and Kharagpur.
The scope of work includes the supply and commissioning of BESS systems worth approximately Rs 400 crore. The projects will operate under a 15-year Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model with WBSEDCL.
