Larsen & Toubro (L&T) bags new orders from Dubai
Multinational business firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged two new contracts from Dubai. The firm's Transportation Infrastructure business has formally executed two contracts with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai for the development of the Latifa Bint Hamdan Corridor.
One of the orders involves the development of a new road connecting Al Khail Road with the extension of Latifa Bint Hamdan Street, along with bridges, tunnels, and associated road works. Another contract is for the development of parts of Al Meydan Street, including a new interchange and associated at-grade roads to support development projects in the area and improve traffic flow. The scope of work also covers the development of a cycling track that will connect with the existing cycling network, contributing to an integrated route between Al Qudra and Jumeirah.
As per L&T’s order classification, the contracts comprise one large order, valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore, and one significant order, valued between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore.
