L&T gets nod for development of 1,600 MW thermal project in Jharkhand
Multinational business firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from DVC CIL Power Private Ltd (DVCCIL) for the development of the main plant package of a 1,600 MW thermal power project in Chandrapura, Jharkhand.
The project comprises two 800-MW ultra-supercritical power-generating units and involves associated mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation, and civil works to be undertaken by L&T. An arm of L&T, L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions, will undertake the main plant package, including the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines, generators and electrostatic precipitators.
L&T classified it as a major order that ranges between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore.
