Maharashtra to develop greenfield ship manufacturing cluster in Dighi with an investment of Rs 20,000 crore
The state government of Maharashtra has plans to develop a mega greenfield shipbuilding cluster in Dighi, Raigad. This project is estimated to cost Rs 20,000 crore, in which state-run Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) will become the anchor shipyard.
As per updates from ETInfra.com, Mumbai Port Authority and the Maharashtra government have formed an equal special purpose vehicle (SPV) to set up the mega shipbuilding cluster.
