Mahindra holidays plans to double its room count to 10,000
The hospitality arm of the Mahindra Group Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL) aims to double its room count from 5,000 to 10,000 within the next 6 to 7 years. In a statement, the firm said the branded leisure rooms in our country are only 28,000. If you were to compare that to Phuket and Bali, we are much smaller. Phuket would be about 40,000, while Bali would be above 60,000. We are so underserved and we believe there is a huge opportunity for us to increase our footprint in leisure hospitality.
