MCA to develop new cricket stadium with 1 lakh seating capacity in Navi Mumbai
The Maharashtra Government has approved the Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) proposal to develop a new cricket stadium in Navi Mumbai. This proposed world-class cricket stadium will have a capacity of 1,00,000 spectators.
MCA has begun the land acquisition process for the project. At present, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with a capacity of 33,108, hosts all international and domestic games. There is a growing demand among fans for a bigger stadium.
