Nuclear based power generation initiative: Maharashtra becomes first state to join the initiative
The state government of Maharashtra has become the first state in India to join the Centre's nuclear-based power generation initiative. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed during the day by Maharashtra State Electricity Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco) and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL).
This initiative aims to provide clean, reliable, and uninterrupted power, crucial for India's economic growth and its 2047 development targets.
