Tata Power to setup ingot facility with an investment of Rs 6,500 crores
Tata Group firm Tata Power is planning to develop a 10 GW ingot-and-wafer manufacturing facility in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. This project is expected to take an investment of around Rs 6,500 crores.
Tata Power's subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), approved the project. The project falls under upstream solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing, specifically PV Ingot and wafer manufacturing.
