AAI floats tender for upgrade of Saharsa airport in Bihar
Authority of India (AAI) has floated a tender inviting bids for the development and upgrade of the Saharsa airport in Bihar. The work involves the development of key airside and supporting infrastructure, including the runway, taxiway, apron, perimeter road, ground support equipment (GSE) area, vehicular lane, emergency access road, Runway End Safety Area (RESA), and runway basic strip.
Bihar govt is acquiring 12 acres of land for Rs 147 crore for the runway expansion work. The estimated cost of the work under tender is Rs 42.52 crore.
