Amaravati outer ring road project: NHAI floats tenders worth Rs 13,092 crore
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has floated tenders worth Rs 13,092 crore for work related to the six-lane, access-controlled Amaravati Outer Ring Road (ORR). According to updates, the project spans 195.23 km and involves a 5.3-km spur road to Narakoduru.
NHAI has split the work into four packages, which will be executed under either the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-and-Transfer (DBFOT) mode or the Hybrid Annuity Model.
- Package 1 will be a 27 km stretch that will pass through the Kondapalli and Pangidi forest areas and end near Mylavaram. Two tunnels measuring 2.7 km and 1.6 km are planned on this section. A separate 930-metre stretch between the 189-km and 189.93-km points is also planned.
- Package 2 will run from 27 to 83 km, spanning 56 km from Mylavaram to Kolavennu in Krishna district.
- Package 3 is 50.5 km; it includes a 5.2-km spur road to Guntur and a 4.8-km bridge over the Krishna River.
- Package 4 spans 55.5 km; it features a 400-metre tunnel and a 3.15-km bridge over the Krishna River.
