HPCL plans 10 GW renewable energy portfolio, to invest Rs 50,000 crore
Public sector firm Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has plans to develop a renewable energy portfolio of 10 GW from the present 208 MW. For this, the firm would invest Rs 50,000 crore through its subsidiary HPRGE (HPCL Renewable and Green Energy Limited).
The firm aims for 1 GW capacity by 2025-26 and is establishing solar power plants and a biofuel portfolio. This move comes as the firm recently expanded its EV (Electric Vehicle) charging facilities to 3,603 retail outlets.
