Gorakhpur airport: New terminal building planned with an investmnet of Rs 900 crore
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Uttar Pradesh and the Indian Air Force for the Gorakhpur airport. As per the MoU, the work would involve adding a new terminal building and expanding its runway.
Under the agreement Indian Air Force will part with 44 acres for the construction of a modern terminal and expansion of the runway. The state government of Uttar Pradesh would compensate the air force with an equivalent parcel of land at another location.
