Ring road project: MMRDA approves project worth Rs 58,000 crore for Mumbai
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has cleared its plans to encircle Mumbai with a network of ring roads to be constructed at an outlay of Rs 58,000 crore. Under the project, the network of roads, bridges, and tunnels will cover around 90 km. 7 outer and inner ring roads that form the center of the plan are currently in various stages of development and tendering.
MMRDA will be joined by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the execution of the work.
