JSW Group plans to set lithium ion battery project, to invest Rs 15,000 crore in Phase 1
JSW Group is planning to set lithium-ion battery project in Nagpur. The first phase of the project would undertake an investment worth Rs 15,000 crore. As per updates, the firm has been offered a land parcel of 450 acres at the additional Butibori industrial estate of MIDC and incentives amounting to 110% of its investment in the form of state GST refund.
Phase 1 would include the lithium battery plant, and later the facility is expected to be expanded for other product ranges.
