Station redevelopment: Berhampur gets Rs 182 crores for upgradation
The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has floated a tender inviting bids for the redevelopment of Berhampur railway station. A tender worth Rs 182.57 crore has been floated for the first phase to be executed through an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model, aimed to be completed in 20 months.
As per ETInfra. com, Rs 300 crore has been allocated for the development of the Berhampur railway station. The work involves adding three rail lines, four platforms, a wide air concourse, a quick watering system, escalators, lifts, and strengthening of the surveillance measures, among other things.
