Tata Power begins work on its renewable energy project in Kurnool
Tata Power's arm, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has begun work on an 800 MW clean energy project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project, worth Rs 5,750 crore, comprises 400 MW of wind power capacity (at Kanekallu, Ananthapuram) and 400 MW of solar power capacity (at Pattikonda, Kurnool).
As per ET, the project requires a total area of 3,462 acres, including 2,700 acres for solar installation and 760 acres for wind development. It will be implemented in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy.
