Bangalore Metro: BMRCL starts land acquisition for phase 3
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has started the process of land acquisition for the highly anticipated Namma Metro Phase 3. This phase will include two primary corridors that will enhance connectivity across the city.
As per the update, BMRCL has already acquired 26,811 square meters of land in the first phase, mainly for Corridor 1, stretching from J.P. Nagar Phase 4 to Mysuru Road Metro Station. The project's estimated cost (phase 3) is Rs 156.11 billion. BMRCL says funding would come from a combination of loans amounting to Rs 75.77 billion and Rs 450 crore is expected revenue from sources like advertising and station naming rights.
