Daikin Industries plans to setup R&D centre in India, to invest Rs 1,000 crores
Leading air conditioning and refrigeration brand Daikin Industries has plans to invest 1,000 crore in India for setting up a global research and development (R&D) centre. As per the updates from The Economic Times, the new centre will focus on software and product development for chillers and air-conditioning systems used in data centres, residential, and commercial applications worldwide.
This investment is part of the broader aim to position India as its largest base outside Japan across manufacturing, exports, product development, and component production.
