India's largest mall to come up at Delhi's Aerocity
Indira Gandhi International Airport's Aerocity (IGIA) is set to be the country's largest mall spread over 28 lakh sq feet. The expansion project costs USD 2.5 billion and is a step towards constructing India's initial aerotropolis. The Aerocity as of now has 15 lakh square feet of leasable space and will expand to over 1 crore square feet. Further global business district will be expanded by an additional 65 lakh square feet, resulting in a total leasable area of 1.8 crore square feet for offices, retail, food courts, a mega mall, and public spaces. It would be completed by 2027.
