JSW Utkal Steel Plant: 2600 acres land possession given for the the project
Steel sector major JSW Steel's arm JSW Utkal Steel has received documents pertaining to the handing over of possession of the forest land admeasuring 2677.80 acres from the Divisional Forest Officer, Mangrove Forest Division (WL), Rajnagar, Odisha.
The land is for setting up of a greenfield Integrated Steel Plant (ISP) worth Rs 65,000 crore. As per the updates, the total land required for the plant is 2950.31 acres, with 2677.80 acres of forest land and 272.51 acres of non-forest land.
