Mumbai cruise terminal begins operations
The country's largest cruise terminal, Mumbai International Cruise Terminal (MICT) commenced operations on 21st April, 2025. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the MICT. The terminal is designed to accommodate 1 million passengers annually and can handle five ships simultaneously.
The project is estimated to be built for Rs 556 crores. Further, the minister also oversaw an agreement signing ceremony for the development of infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 5,700 crores at Vadhavan Port.
