Kamala Hydel Project: Public Investment Board approves project worth Rs 26,000 crore
Finance Ministry's body, the Public Investment Board (PIB), has approved the 1,720 MW Kamala Hydroelectric Project, with a total cost of Rs 26,000 crore. The joint venture between NHPC Ltd and the Arunachal Pradesh government, the project is being developed at the tributary of the river Subansiri.
Further, Rs 3,000 crore has been earmarked for establishing state-of-the-art power equipment testing facilities.
