Pune to Mumbai expressway project: NHAI gives go ahead for DPR
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has cleared the preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) for the Mumbai-Pune Expressway project. This proposed highway would be an eight-lane, access-controlled corridor, with an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore.
Once completed, the project is expected to reduce the travel time between the cities to just 90 minutes, and the route will connect seamlessly with Mumbai’s Atal Setu and Pune’s upcoming Ring Road, forming a high-capacity transport network across western Maharashtra.
